A plumbin company symbol: inverted triangle and drop outlined

The challenge

SFP provides plumbing services for customers and companies in South Florida, and it was started by two partners of highly skilled and detail-oriented women entrepreneurs.

The goal

To create a new identity for the company that reflects the women's entrepreneurship spirit and the characteristics of an established company that knows its business.

The Concept

South Florida Plumbing wished to make a statement. With regard to the genre and how it relates to its ideas, we identified the crucial components to introduce into the process using a mind map. The conceptualization of the brand incorporates the potent meaning of symbolism, using core shapes and their relationships.

The Process

Creating a visual identity for a plumbing company started by two women entrepreneurs requires a thoughtful and intentional process. The first step is to research the target audience and understand the unique value proposition of the business. We did this through mind mapping, brainstorming and mapping out ideas to identify potential concepts and themes.

In this case, the focus was a visual identity that represents women and water. Symbolism plays a critical role in this process: elements such as drops, triangles and waves evoke femininity and fluidity, while colors such as blue and green represent water and promote a sense of calm and trust. Once the concept was developed, we created a logo and other visual elements that align with the brand's identity and messaging.

The final result is a cohesive visual identity that effectively communicates the brand's values and resonates with its target audience. Alongside it came the slogan, long-lasting connections: while logos are visual representations of a brand, slogans are audible representations, both simpler to understand and remember than a name alone.

Conclusion

Two women entrepreneurs starting a plumbing company is significant given that the plumbing industry is still male-dominated. By launching a successful business, they can serve as an inspiration for other women interested in pursuing careers in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Their unique perspective and approach to plumbing services also differentiate their business from competitors, potentially leading to a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Their success challenges stereotypes and promotes gender equality while contributing to increased brand recognition, customer engagement, and revenue for their company.
