The challenge
Microsoft wanted to put its cloud services and developer tools front and center — the MSDN and Azure platforms, Visual Studio, and the resources developers use to build and test. The products are powerful, but they're also abstract. The challenge was making cloud computing feel approachable and close, not distant and technical.
The goal
We were tasked to create a Graphic Design and Illustrations project to promote the cloud services of Microsoft and the developer tools — a campaign that carries one clear message across print and digital, with each piece reinforcing the same idea.
The Concept
We built the whole campaign around a simple, human idea: "Move to the Cloud." A little person climbing a ladder into the clouds became the campaign's guiding image — turning an abstract platform into a friendly, understandable journey. The illustrations were recreated from Microsoft's stock, so the system keeps a familiar brand feel while adding a warmer, bolder voice of its own.
The Process
The campaign runs across everything a developer would encounter: the campaign illustrations themselves, branded notebooks with matching covers, web pages and hero banners, emails, and web banners. Each piece is delivered in the same bold, flat, colorful illustration language and speaks directly to the Latin American audience in Spanish — so the message reads as one campaign no matter where it shows up.
Conclusion
The result is a cohesive campaign that makes Microsoft's cloud and developer tools feel approachable and exciting. The climb-to-the-cloud idea stays unmistakably Microsoft at every touchpoint — consistent across illustration, print, and web — while giving an enterprise product a warm, human personality.
